Gathering Information-Notes

·         Mexican immigrants are victims of racial brutality in California

·         There are also reports of brutality against African Americans in California

·         “NAACP notes that between 1976 and 1987, about 1,800 blacks and 3,000 whites were killed by police”

·         Many of those may have been for reasons of self-defense

·         Judges in some areas are corrupt against the police

·         They accuse some of them for doing things without probable cause

·         “Baer ruled that fleeing suspects do not give the necessary “probable cause” to search the defendants vehicle”

·         Even though the officers found $4 million dollars’ worth of drugs in the vehicle

·         The judge then proceeded to throw out the evidence

·         I highly disagree with this action though they may not have had “probable cause” the evidence still stands that it was the defendants drugs and they should be punished for it
